FAQ’S
-
Home Sourcery is a virtual design + sourcing service. After booking, you’ll complete a questionnaire and share photos, measurements, inspiration, and anything you’d like to keep. From there, I create a personalized plan and source pieces specifically for your space, style, and budget.
-
Home Sourcery is a more flexible, focused alternative to traditional full-service design. I help you create a cohesive space through design direction, furniture sourcing, layouts, and thoughtful selections tailored to your home.
Depending on the item and vendor, I can provide direct shopping links or purchase select furnishings on your behalf through Home Sourcery.
The goal is to give you professional design guidance, access to beautifully sourced pieces, and a clear plan for your space without the larger scope or commitment of a traditional full-service design firm.
-
Yes. Depending on the vendor, you may purchase directly through a provided shopping link, or Home Sourcery may purchase select trade and designer furnishings on your behalf.
Purchases made through Home Sourcery are invoiced separately and include applicable sales tax, shipping, delivery, and vendor charges. Any trade savings vary by vendor and item, and pricing is always communicated before an order is placed.
-
I use my retail, designer, and trade resources to seek competitive pricing for your selections. Trade savings may be passed along when available and permitted, but discounts and the lowest price cannot be guaranteed.
-
Once payment is complete, you’ll receive your intake questionnaire and next steps. This gives me the information I need about your space, style, budget, measurements, and what you’re hoping to accomplish before we begin.
-
One item means one furniture or décor need—not quantity. For example, sourcing four coordinating pillows for a sofa can count as one sourcing category, while a sofa, coffee table, and floor lamp would count as three.
-
Yes. I offer a mix of direct shopping links and purchasing support, depending on the item and vendor.
For many retail selections, you’ll receive direct links so you can purchase at your convenience. For select trade and designer vendors, Home Sourcery can purchase furnishings on your behalf. These purchases are invoiced separately and may include applicable sales tax, shipping, delivery, and vendor fees.
After purchase, clients typically handle delivery receiving, installation, and inspection of items. If something comes up, I’m still here as a resource and can help you navigate next steps, provide order details, or connect you with the appropriate vendor contact. Returns, cancellations, warranties, and damage claims remain subject to each vendor’s policies.
-
Absolutely. Good design doesn’t mean replacing everything. I’ll work with the pieces you want to keep and help determine what should be added, changed, or repositioned to make the room feel more cohesive.
-
Yes. Home Sourcery is designed to work virtually, so I can work with clients nationwide using photos, measurements, video calls, and your client portal. If you’re in Orange County, you can also contact me about local availability.
-
The Full Room Edit includes one round of refinements. The Source includes multiple options for each item so you have choices from the start, plus a 7-day follow-up. I’ll clearly outline what’s included before we begin.
-
Yes. If you begin with The Designer’s Eye, 50% of that fee can be applied toward The Source, or the full fee can be applied toward a Full Room Edit, when booked within two weeks.
Still not sure where to start?
Send me a note with a little about your space and what you’re struggling with, and I’ll point you toward the service that makes the most sense.
